No one offered to help her. In the end she pulled it off, though. I first read these books as a teenager and they resonated with me such that I read them all many times.

They had no crises of identity like Fainne, so we never really had the same experience of seeing them decide who they were, as we do with Fainne. As happened in those times of superstition and the “old religion” there are prophecies handed down for hundreds of years.

There is, of course, a finale that has a particular intensity, gives a very good end to the trilogy and passes an ecological and spiritual message, but all the plot has several Eventually, she finds her way back to seven waters and her extended family.

It feels like the author tried too hard and hurried up and sort of blotched it in the end. I am new to her as an author and I was pleased to discover an author who is obviously well versed in Celtic Folklore and has a beautiful sensibility, possessing a rare ability to involve the reader emotionally in everything she conveys.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought it took a prophevy, as well as a woman, to make a child. Child of the Prophecy 17 69 Dec 07, Fainne is far from an unsympathetic character, but she tends to do and say chi,d with a heightened sense of fallibility.

Sorcha and Liadan were model women in their community and among their peers.

All that are well and definitely give more weight to this work, but in my opinion are not part of a plot that is particularly interesting and inspiring. Trivia About Child of the Prop As the residents of Sevenwaters gradually work their way into Fianne’s heart, she learns that she is stronger than she ever realised and reaches deep within herself to fight Lady Oonagh.
